K-pop veterans Big Bang have announced a new global stadium tour, their first run of shows since 2017. The Seoul group, who consist of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, following the departures of T.O.P and Seungri, will play a run of 31 huge shows in celebration of their 20th anniversary as a band. The dates kick off in Goyang’s Goyang Stadium on August 21, the first of three shows at the venue. They head to the US for gigs in California and New Jersey, and then to Europe for Paris and London stadium shows in September. Cocaine-related deaths have reached record levels in the UK amid a surge in the availability of “ultra-strength” forms of the drug. New figures show cocaine was linked to 1,279 deaths across the UK in 2024, an increase from 1,118 the previous year and the highest number since records began, according to a report by The Independent. Deezer have launched a tool that detects AI-generated music on playlists from 20 different streaming platforms. The tool is free and it allows users to establish whether any of the music in a playlist they have created includes material that has been generated using AI technology. It is available in 27 languages and has been described by Deezer as more than 99 per cent accurate. It identifies “specific artifacts” that AI software leaves behind, and can be used for playlists on a wide range of streamers, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Soundcloud.
