Published on his birthday, April 8, “A Shift In Perspective” arrives just in time to be played on stage at the 2026 edition of Coachella, the famous Californian festival in which Rezz appears as one of the most important attractions of the electronic section. The first weekend goes great: her set will be one of the best, not only thanks to the musical aspects but also thanks to a super effective light design, built between vortices and optical illusions, with the Ukrainian-Canadian producer who is an integral part of it, with her unmistakable LED glasses, now a sort of fetish that makes her very recognisable. The second week of Coachella his show was canceled due to health problems, but in the meantime a song seven days earlier had left its mark, “Sick Fuck”, the super propulsive single that had just been released, which had opened the selection, just as it opens the new EP “A Shift In Perspective”.
Five further songs then confirm the stature of Isabelle Rezazadeh – this is her real name – starting from a “Circuit” which dramatically increases the number of bpm, until it becomes a bullet fired against the horizon, passing through the unstoppable “Stripe” and the techno with ambient inserts of “Hysteria”. Residual industrial sounds are present in “Caution”, while a strong melodic-emotional component characterizes the final “Next Life”. Everywhere hyper distorted bass, claustrophobic atmospheres, dystopian psychedelia, obsessive attention to sound design. The dark-electro and midtempo-bass roots, which have always characterized Rezz's productions, push themselves in search of new horizons: not a real change of register, rather a refinement of already beaten paths. Music capable of hypnotising the mind before even moving the body.
