“I'm a fan,” Dexter Holland said. He's referring to Taylor Swift whose 2008 single Love Story it became one of the key pieces of the Offspring concert.
“Before becoming a pop star he played in a hardcore band, it was called Swifty Shellshock,” joked the singer at Hellfest about ten days ago.
On that occasion before playing Love Storyfrom the pop star's second album Fearlessa happy ending rewrite of the story of Romeo and Juliet, Holland called for “the biggest moshpit ever made for a Taylor Swift song, help us make history tonight.”
Played by the Offspring for the first time on June 16th in Poland, Swift's song became a permanent part of the group's concerts, who played it nine more times, the last one last night in Luxembourg.
Love Story at Hellfest:
Love Story and the 2021 remake Love Story (Taylor's Version) they reached number one on the American Hot Country Songs chart. It belongs to the country period of the future pop star, who was 19 at the time.
