Hellfest, one of the most important metal festivals in Europe, paid homage to Ozzy Osbourne with the inauguration of a monumental statue dedicated to the rock legend who passed away in 2025. The work, approximately six meters high, was unveiled at the entrance to the French Clisson festival and depicts the famous Prince of Darkness in one of his iconic poses.
The installation was announced in recent months by Sharon Osbourne, who had publicly thanked the director of Hellfest, Ben Barbaud, for wanting to celebrate her husband's memory in such a significant way.
The statue was created by the French artist Philippe Pasqua and joins another famous work present on the festival site: the one dedicated to Lemmy Kilmister, historic leader of Motörhead, inaugurated a few years ago and which has become a pilgrimage destination for metal music enthusiasts.
With open arms and an expression that recalls the charisma of the Black Sabbath singer, the sculpture will permanently welcome visitors to Hellfest, transforming itself into a new point of reference for fans from all over the world.
The 2026 edition of the festival took place from June 18 to 21 and featured Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit, Bring Me the Horizon, The Offspring and many more.
