From Lucio Battisti to Lucio Dalla, passing through Diego Armando Maradona, the Mille Miglia and Gabriele D'Annunzio. This is the underlying theme of the auction organized by Finarte, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 26 June, in Rome, which brings together over two centuries of Italian history through autographs, memorabilia and memorabilia belonging to protagonists of music, sport and culture.
Among the most anticipated lots, those dedicated to Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla stand out, two giants of Italian song, both born in March 1943. For Battisti, some objects linked to his formative years will be put up for auction, including two guitars used at the beginning of his career, one of which he received as a gift from his father and is estimated at between 60,000 and 70,000 euros. The section is completed by a collection of private letters sent to mother Dea during her travels with the first musical groups in the mid-1960s and some pictorial works that testify to her artistic activity beyond music.
The catalog dedicated to Lucio Dalla includes numerous personal objects, such as a rare purse made by his mother, a Cartier briefcase, the microphone and headphones from the recording studio set up on his yacht and the Fiat 500 Abarth received as a gift from Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. Among the pieces of greatest interest are also the jacket worn during the American tour “DallAmeriCaruso” in 1986, the Ray-Ban glasses used in the “Banana Republic” tour in 1979 and the original manuscript of “Canzone”, embellished with a textual variant which increases its historical and collectible value.
