When the FCC released its annual cache of Super Bowl complaints earlier this month, it was, unsurprisingly, filled largely with reactions to Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. The agency tasked with policing broadcast standards received over 2,000 complaints this year, many of the featuring the outlandish pearl-clutching we’ve come to expect from halftime show grievances.  Words like “vulgar,” “disgusting,” and “indecent” popped up hundreds of times in reference to some of the dancers’ moves (fun fact: at least three people spelled “twerking” as “twirking”), as well as Bad Bunny’s lyrics. In today’s gaming landscape, players have a nearly bottomless buffet of choices for how to spend their time. When I point out to him that in the latest version of XXVerse added the invective “and fuck the fascis”, Tiziano Ferro doesn't try to tone down: «That position has always been there. Now I use a sledgehammer, but there was no need for one slur to understand how I thought. It's just that perhaps age also leads me to be less restrained in my language. It's just a question of language. Before I said “we can't take it anymore”, now I say “fuck off”. He explained it to us a few hours before the start of the tour which…

The flood in the Texas Hill Country over July 4 weekend last summer had a profound effect on the Texas music community. Josh Abbott — a staple of the Lone Star State for 20 years as frontman of the Josh Abbott Band and a member of the supergroup the Panhandlers — was particularly struck by how helpless he felt in the moment. Over time, however, he found the resolve to pay tribute to the 27 campers and counselors who died at Camp Mystic, a girls' summer camp along the Guadalupe River. Abbott did it the best way he knows how:…

Starting on January 23, 1977 from the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, the “In The Flesh Tour” represented one of the most important and at the same time most problematic moments in Pink Floyd's history. From those frictions the idea of ”The Wall” was born. After a first European leg that ended at the end of March, the tour resumed on April…
