As someone who grew up surfing in Northern California, flannel shirts have a special place in my heart. Functionally, they were my year-round post-surf savior after getting out of the frigid water. In a ruling issued Friday and obtained by Rolling Stone, Chief U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga reversed her earlier decision to set aside the award on procedural grounds. The judgment had been thrown out after the jury found that Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, qualified as a media defendant, a designation that required Megan to give her…

A federal judge ruled that the Kennedy Center board violated the law when it added President Donald Trump's name to the performing arts venue and blocked the institution from temporarily closing its doors this summer to renovate. The law establishing the center “makes crystal clear that the Center is to be named for President Kennedy, and it cannot bear any other formal name or public memorial based on the Board's unilateral say-so,” US District Judge Casey Cooper wrote in his opinion, adding, “Congress gave the Kennedy Center its name, and only Congress can change it.” In Cooper's opinion, he ruled…
