The September 28th al Carlo Felice Theatre Of Genoa The GnuQuartet will celebrate twenty years of artistic activity with a special concert-event, 20 years of GnuQuartet – Live with Friends (IMARTS – International Music And Arts and OPS Eventi), which will see them sharing the stage with many guests, friends and artists who, over the years, have crossed their paths, sharing projects, tours, records and special moments that have contributed to defining the open and transversal identity of the quartet. All references to Donald Trump have been removed from the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. In December last year, the Trump-appointed board of the arts venue voted to rename the institution to the ‘Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts’, or the ‘Trump-Kennedy Center’ in short. Work began to remove all references to the president earlier this month, and now it is reportedly complete. Matt Floca, executive director and chief operating officer of the performing arts venue, told a federal court yesterday (June 13) that the institution had complied with the aforementioned order to remove Trump’s name. In…

Paul McCartney wanted to remember his friend David Hockney, one of the greatest British artists of the twentieth century, who died this week at the age of 88. Hockney, born in Bradford, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday 11 June, a month shy of his 89th birthday. A central figure in British art and among the great names of pop art, he signed paintings that have become symbols of the century, such as A Bigger Splash And Portrait of an Artist. It is above all his blue, sun-kissed Californian swimming pools that have transformed him into a star…
Guns N’ Roses headlined Download Festival last night (June 13). Check out what went down below. The band headlined Download as part of their huge 2026 run, which kicked off back in April. The huge headline slot marked 20 years since the last time they headlined the festival, and saw them open with their iconic hit ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, before launching into a mammoth three-hour set. As well as playing their newest tracks, ‘Nothin’’ and ‘Atlas’, the set consisted of a handful…

Available on all major streaming and download platforms from Friday 12 June for Artist First, God Protect You is the debut album of CigarettewestLigurian singer-songwriter who has made autobiographical writing and expressive freedom the heart of his artistic research. And so the album was born precisely from the urgency of telling life without filters, chasing a single certainty: that of the song. In fact, however Cigarettewest music does not simply represent a means of expression, but rather a place of truth: “The song is tangible. The song is the truth. That's all there is.” And of songs in God Protect…
Sparta’s Jim Ward has spoken to NME about the band’s emotionally-charged, loved-up sixth album ‘Cut A Silhouette’, making peace with his past in At The Drive-In, as well as his respect for Kneecap and Turnstile. At The Drive-In first broke up in 2001, shortly after releasing seminal punk album ‘Relationship Of Command’. The band’s Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez went on to form prog rock group The Mars Volta, while Paul Hinojos, Tony Hajjar and Jim Ward formed Sparta. “We came in with a giant chip on our shoulder,” Ward told NME about arriving with the searing ‘Wiretap Scars’ in…
In the artwork of Lero Lero's first album there is a crocodile emerging from Vucciria. Its legend passes through underground Palermo, from the underground Papireto, from a city that has hidden even its own rivers under the asphalt. An absurd and perfect story: something comes from afar, disappears beneath the surface and then resurfaces when you least expect it.The project was born from something that comes back. A tradition far from the identity postcard and the nostalgia of the music of the past. Here there is a rougher, more ambiguous, older and more alive body of sound. The one kept…
