Kanye West is set to perform in Russia, despite the widespread cultural boycott of the country over its invasion of Ukraine. Since Russian forces invaded Ukraine in 2022, there has been a widespread refusal amongst artists to perform in the country. A posthumous memoir by L7 bassist Jennifer Finch is set for publication early next year. Co-written with Jeff Alulis and completed before her death in July of this year, Shooting Up and Making Out: A Memoir of My Life in LA and L7 will chronicle Finch’s teenage years in the Los Angeles punk scene; her struggle with heroin addiction; and her time in bands including Courtney Love’s Sugar Babydoll and, of course, L7, a pioneering feminist grunge act.
