One year after the previous “Ohio Players” (2024), the Black Keys are going to churn out a new studio album, entitled “No Rain, No Flowers”.
To anticipate him, the single “The Night Before”, accompanied by a video directed by Running Bear, who follows the staff of a hotel while he breaks all the rules by looting the wardrobe of a guest, drinking the alcohol of the room and dancing for the corridors. Look at the video clip below.

The song bears the signature of the duo formed by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carry and the singer -songwriter Daniel Tashian: “It is based on the groove – explained Auerbach in a presentation note – everything started with a progression of agreements that Daniel and I have designed And the rest came by himself. First people I met when I moved to the city more than ten years ago. Tour “.
The new album “No Rain, No Flowers” does not yet have a release date, but the Black Keys – who have been forced to erase their tour in North America in 2024 following a dispute with their previous management company – They have already announced a tour, which also includes two appointments in Italy: on July 15th in Vicenza at the Ama Music Festival and on July 16 at Rock in Rome, Hippodrome of the Capannelle in Rome. The Italian dates promise themselves as a unique opportunity to rediscover the sound alchemy of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, between blues roots and contemporary rock drives.
The latest album released by the two, “Ohio Players”, undoubtedly pays homage to the homonymous gun group/R&B of Daytona but it is also a reference to themselves that have taken the first steps in the stages of the small state of the Midwest.
Despite the premises, the disc is far from nostalgic and offers a sound Unusual compared to the classic garage/blues rock that has now become their unmistakable trademark. And the contribution of Beck cannot be neglected, which is offered as a musician and as a co-author in many pieces. From contagious refrains to intricate instrumental arrangements, the influence of the Californian artist is unmistakable.
The other great guest of honor of “Ohio Players” is Noel Gallagher, who offers his (unusual) collaboration in three episodes of the album. A job that, even if it does not always return to the fans the Black Keys of the best times, still consolidates it status of stainless and timeless rocker.
