It came out April 24, 2026 (distr. Believe Music Italy) the first EP of Virginia From J. “In the flow”this is the title of the collection, represents the emergence of material written over time and left waiting to find a complete form. Consisting of three songs, two of which have already been published independently and without any promotional support, “Nella Corrente” marks the transition from a private and submerged dimension to a more exposed and shared one.
The sound research develops in a balance between alt-pop and alt-rock, with an essential and uncoated imprint, built together with the producers Giuliano Vozella And Claudio La Roccawhich contributed to defining a musical identity consistent with the artist's imagination. The atmospheres move between airy openings and more intimate moments, supported by expressive guitars, an enveloping rhythm section — with Antonio Petruzzelli to the bottom and Stefano Prezzi on drums — and vocal layering that amplifies the sense of depth and suspension.
The three songs, despite their autonomy, are reflected as variations on the theme of the relationship with oneself and with the other: the difficulty of recognizing oneself, sensitivity as a condition that crosses and sometimes overwhelms, up to the conflict between intention and action when the care of the other comes into tension with one's own feelings. A writing that proceeds through evocative images and leaves room for interpretation, providing a continuous emotional experience, in which the Italian language fits into an international sound environment.
VIRGINIA FROM J
Virginia From J is a singer-songwriter with an alt-pop/alt-rock sound who brings years of submerged writing to the surface, transforming them into an intimate and necessary debut.
From 2017 to 2025 he was part of a band active on the Milanese underground scene, performing live and participating in various competitions in the area. Meanwhile, he continues to write and keep a personal repertoire that remains unpublished, far from the band's project, and which will only take shape later. Once that chapter is over, she feels the urgency to give shape to her material and starts looking for a producer with whom to build a sound that represents her. Thus his first EP was born “In the flow”preceded by two singles and completed by a third song, which marks the beginning of a new chapter.
Outside of music, her path follows a coherent trajectory: in 2014 she began working as an educator with minors in difficulty, in 2018 she became a music therapist and subsequently completed her studies in psychology, obtaining the qualification to practice. His songs are meeting places, where imperfection and fragility become living material from which light emerges and sharing is a precious act. His music moves between suspended atmospheres and careful sound research, in dialogue with sensibilities similar to Bon Iver, Radiohead, Cristina Donà and Paolo Benvegnù, maintaining a personal and recognizable voice.
