RIM – Rome in Music debuts with its first edition and will bring concerts, meetings and performances throughout the capital for a week.
From 7 to 13 June 2026, the initiative promoted by Roma Capitale and artistically directed by Daniele Silvestri will involve all 15 Municipalities with a widespread program that aims to enhance the city's musical fabric, from professional to amateur realities.
The objective is to build a permanent event dedicated to music, capable of connecting the historic center and the neighborhoods through free events open to the public. Concerts, talks, live radio broadcasts and participatory activities will enliven squares and public spaces for seven consecutive days.
Roma in Musica starts with a parade from Piazza Mastai to Piazza Navona
The opening is scheduled for Sunday 7 June with a musical parade that will start from Piazza Mastai and reach Piazza Navona. Taking part will be musicians, students and citizens from all the municipalities of the city.
The procession will be accompanied by Roman marching bands Precarious Samba, Cecafumo And Other band. Once they arrive in Piazza Navona, the public will find the Musical band of the Local Police Force of Rome Capitalprotagonist of the official passage that will kick off the event.

Piazza Navona becomes the center of RIM's activities
From 7 to 12 June Piazza Navona will host a space dedicated to meetings and musical dissemination. Here we will alternate live radio broadcasts, playlists, book presentations and talks hosted by Daniele Silvestri.
Announced guests include Sergio Cammariere on June 8th, Tosca on June 9th, Stefano Fresi on June 10th and Max Gazzè on June 11th.
Events in the Municipalities and involvement of music schools
The demonstration will not only focus on the city center. Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipalities, the program will reach various neighborhoods of the Capital through concerts, performances and initiatives created together with music schools and local associations.
The project aims to photograph the variety of musical experiences present in Rome and to create a network between the different realities that animate the city's cultural life.
Closing with a jam session led by Daniele Silvestri
The week of events will conclude on Saturday 13 June at Schuster Park. The final day will be dedicated to a large jam session open to musicians from the schools collaborating with the initiative.
In the evening he will go on stage Daniele Silvestriwho will lead a collective performance with the participation of artists from the Italian music scene. The closing of the event also includes a dialogue with the Roman rap scene, which will have a central role in the last event of the festival.
