After the sold-out record of his last Italian tour, Peter Hammill announces his return to our country with a new series of concerts scheduled for November 2026. The English artist will bring live the material from his next album, still unreleased, together with the most representative songs of his long career.
The tour will visit five Italian cities:
- 10 November – Ghione Theatre, Rome
- 11 November – Goldoni Theatre, Livorno
- 13 November – Superga Theatre, Nichelino (Turin)
- 15 November – Hall of Giants, Padua
- 16 November – Elfo Puccini Theatre, Milan
Active for over fifty-five years, Hammill is considered one of the most influential figures in progressive rock. In parallel to his experience with Van der Graaf Generator, he has built a very rich solo career, developing a personal language that crosses rock, experimentation, electronic music and songwriting. With over fifty albums released, he has always maintained a strong creative independence, also distinguishing himself as a pioneer of home recording.
During his career he has also composed music for cinema and ballet, explored territories close to concrete music and continued to perform all over the world, both solo and with different ensembles. After the Van der Graaf Generator reunion in 2004, he continuously alternated the band's activity with his own solo projects, still confirming himself today as a constantly evolving artist and one of the most authoritative personalities in contemporary music.
