Luk3 And Cristina Lora – Melodramatic: the meaning of the song
Melodramatic focuses on a nocturnal, intense and ambiguous relationship. A woman who says one thing and thinks another, who acts cold during the day and asks to stay at night, in a summer that is played out between Italy and South America as an emotional geography even before a physical one.
In the chorus the two sing: “Undress my soul among the streets of South America. If the music rises, the waves of the sea bring me to you. Melodramatic, but sometimes I pretend to be romantic”.
The chorus, a bit in the style of Annalisa from Mon amour (but also the new single by Michele Bravi) is tinged with passion with: “Now who do I spend the rest of the night with, love, with me, with him, with her, with him, with me…”
The text of Melodramatic
Below is a part of the text of the song, inserted in the context of the analysis.
You dance on top of the glass
shards, broken pieces
you tell me no you vas
then make it cold
like everyone does
two mouths and one saliva
inside an unnamed motel
but when the sun comes you erase me
as if it were a real mistake
and at night you drink absinthe
I look at you I think go
you look at me and be silent
but in the eyes you scream it still remains a little
Undress my soul
among the streets of South America
if the music goes up
the waves of the sea bring me to you
Melodramatic
but sometimes I pretend to be romantic
now ready for the sea
now with whom I spend the rest of the night love
with me, with him, with her, with him, with me
and I like it better on the streets of the south
with me, with him, with her, with him, with me
