Leatherette's indie-punk kicks off (July 22)
Born in Bologna in 2018, i Leatherette they quickly became one of the most exported Italian companies abroad. After the debut Fiesta (2022) — even celebrated by Iggy Pop on BBC Radio 6 — and the next SmallTalk (2023), which took them to the stages of international showcases such as Eurosonic and The Great Escape, the band returns to the Curtarock stage to present the brand new album Slow pace. A lively, sincere and irreverent album that puts aside formal perfection to claim pride in its sonic flaws.
The darkwave shadows of This Eternal Decay (July 23)
The Thursday of the festival is tinged with industrial and synthpop nuances with This Eternal Decay. The project led by Riccardo Sabetti has firmly established itself in the European darkwave scene, racking up tours of over 30 dates and stops at cult festivals such as Wave Gotik Treffen. Strengthened by the streaming successes of the singles “Kiss Me I'm Dying” and the recent international collaboration with the Spanish Darkways in the song “Me, Myself and I”, the band will bring a powerful and visceral live act to Curtarock.
The death metal fury of Sanguisugabogg (July 24)
On Friday there will be space for extreme sounds with the exclusive underground by Leechbogg. Coming from Ohio, they are considered among the points of reference of contemporary death metal thanks to a lethal mix of granite 90s riffs, hardcore attitude and splatter imagery. On the stage of the festival they will present their latest work Hideous Aftermatha chapter that combines the usual sonic violence with new and dark industrial and doom influences.
The great night of Italian rap with Ensi and his crew (25 July)
Saturday evening is dedicated entirely to rhymes and the heavyweights of local hip-hop. The headliner of the evening will be Ensiiconic freestyler and cornerstone of Italian rap. From underground stages to MTV Spit, Ensi has built a monumental career based on impeccable technique and a hunger that has remained intact since the beginning. Next to him, a fiery lineup that he will see alternating on the screen Nero, Jack The Smoker And Dani Faiv.
Closing on the dance floor with dance legend Spiller (July 26)
On Sunday we dance with one of the most famous Italian DJs and producers in the world: Spiller. Famous for the 2000 global hit “Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)” — which conquered the global charts and became the best-selling vinyl of the millennium in the United Kingdom —, the Venetian artist continues to export his funk and electronic sound to clubs around the world, from Ibiza to the United States. To close the 26th edition of the festival there will also be a live performance by Mudone of the spearheads of the Degustibus Music techno stable.
