THE GLUE they come back with “WE WILL ALL END UP HURTING US!”, the new album available from Friday 10 April 2026 on all digital platforms for Soviet Studio records: fifth album by the band from Vicenza, it is a work that collects and relaunches all the expressive urgency of the GLUEpushing it towards an even more direct, compact and radical form.
Active since 2017, i GLUE have established themselves as one of the most recognizable realities of the Italian independent punk scene, thanks to a sound that blends hard energy, punk attitude and a melodic vein capable of remaining imprinted.
This playlist was born from the urgency of telling with sound, energy and sincerity who we are and what shaped us as a band. From the first meeting backstage to the rehearsal rooms, from punk anger to the most intimate reflections of our travels, each song represented here has marked a piece of our journey.
This is our sound map: five songs that inspired us and that accompany us every time we go on stage or close the door of the rehearsal room.
“Bodies” — Sex Pistols
We met playing around, backstage, playing with other bands and what united us in some way is the punk attitude in the way of thinking and facing life. This song, raw and provocative in the lyrics, with sharp guitars and a powerful groove of bass and drums has influenced our way of writing songs.
“Kick Out the Jams” — MC5
It was a cold October afternoon when we found ourselves in the rehearsal room for the first time, we had to start playing something and to warm up we tried this song. “Kick out the jams, motherf**ker!”. The beginning of an iconic piece like the whole album. An invitation to free yourself from conventions, authority and mental blocks. An energetic sound explosion, a song that at the time became a hymn of political and social rebellion.
“Everything Is Wrong” — Interpol
Probably one of our favorite bands. The first album: “Turn on the bright lights”, was enlightening for us, but this song, contained in their fifth album, is part of the soundtrack of our travels.
“Corso Buenos Aires” — Lucio Dalla
Talking about everyday life with irony, which can sometimes be crude, as in this case, where the text highlights the strong social contrast between wealth and poverty is a gift that only adults have and Lucio was a genius at this. “I didn't see anything / I didn't see his face / I was passing by / I was going hunting with my wife”. Lucio Dalla is definitely a source of inspiration for our lyrics.
“Born Slippy (Nuxx)” — Underworld
A techno anthem with a fast-paced rhythm, a progressive melody and a vocal part that alternates between singing and speaking. The text evokes the sensation of sinking, sliding down often associated with altered states of mind. This song is also part of the soundtrack that we listen to in the car when we go around playing.
