The announcement of the Coachella billboard is always a moment awaited by those who love festivals. Whether or not you have the opportunity to go to the Indio desert matters little; seeing what Coachella will do is always a good way to understand the health of the international music genre. Coachella this year will be held on the weekends of April 11th to 13th and will be repeated in the same month from the 18th to the 20th.
After decidedly weaker editions, this year the American festival is aiming for very strong headliners: Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone and Travis Scott. “I've dreamed of having a chaotic party in the desert for a long time,” commented Gaga, while Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day said: “Bring your anger, your hopes, your voice.” Travis Scott, however, will run an immersive experience called CatcusCon that will be present for the entire duration of the festival (now presented as «Travis Scott designs the Desert») and is expected to perform on Saturday according to Rolling Stone US sources.
Other unmissable names: Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion. And again Kraftwerk, Prodigy, Fka Twigs, Misfits. Anitta, Jimmy Eat World, Viagra Boys, Clairo. There will be a good dose of k-pop (if you hate it, read here) with the two slots of Lisa and Jennie from Blackpink and Enhypen.
