A Los Angeles judge granted Sabrina Carpenter a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker after the singer described a series of chilling incidents at her home, saying they left her in “significant and ongoing fear” for her personal safety. In a signed declaration obtained by Rolling Stonethe singer says William Applegate appeared at her home uninvited on multiple occasions in recent weeks, tried to break into her house, and refused to leave when confronted by her security, claiming he knew Carpenter and was expected there. During one “deeply alarming” incident on May 23, she says, Applegate allegedly trespassed onto…
Days after a federal judge temporarily halted President Donald Trump's controversial $1.776 billion fund to send taxpayer money to “victims of lawfare and weaponization,” the administration agreed to comply with the court ruling. In a statement, the Department of Justice said that while it “strongly disagrees with the decision on the Anti-Weaponization Fund put forth by the United States District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Virginia,” the department “will abide by the Court's ruling.” However, the White House has not stated whether it will attempt to make changes to the fund or scrap it altogether. The slush fund,…
Over the weekend, the Belmont Plateau transformed into a two-day cultural celebration as the Roots Picnic returned to Philadelphia for its 18th year. The festival — created by Grammy-winning band the Roots — brought out living legends, emerging talent, and some of today's most prominent hip-hop icons. The move from its usual home at The Mann Center was deliberate. Earlier this year, the festival announced a venue change after last year's event drew sharp backlash over long entry lines, muddy lawns, and communication issues. In a statement, organizers acknowledged attendees' feedback directly: “We heard you, new venue, better experience.” This…

Taylor Swift has confirmed the rumours – her new song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ will be appearing in Toy Story 5. Speculation has been swirling among Swifties in recent weeks, prompted last month when the singer posted a cryptic countdown on her website that was later taken down before it had the chance to be completed. The countdown had been doused in the colour scheme of the Toy Story films, and the rumours clicked up a gear when a billboard bearing the initials ‘TS’ over a familiar blue sky and white cloud appeared in recent days. Fans noted that there were exactly 13 clouds on display, a nod to Swift’s famous lucky number,…

2 June 2026, Republic Day: the songs about Italy that tell the story of our beloved, criticized, sometimes regretted country, between dreams and disillusions. We retraced the Italian songs that, over the decades, have tried to tell the story of our country, from the fathers of songwriting to today's rap and indie. A re-listening that involved many songs (but we chose only a few) and made one thing stand out to us: our country has rarely been sung as a homeland, in a proud way, and much more often with irony, reproach and melancholy. THE'Mameli's anthem it remains an institutional…
On Sunday night, the wild, sometimes nonsensical but endlessly meme-able ride that was Euphoria finally came to an end with its third and final season. Viewers didn’t realize that they were watching the show’s finale, since creator Sam Levinson and HBO didn’t confirm the news until after the episode had aired. But it wasn’t surprising, considering the events of the episode. Still, it’s shocking to think that a show that captured audiences and kept them waiting for years between seasons went out the way it did, leaving a lot on the table and not many answers. Here, we’ve gathered some…
