SoundCloud is set to introduce direct-to-fan music sales. The streaming platform announced the change in an announcement on August 26. The feature will be trialled on select US-based Artist Pro creators, with the company expanding to further regions soon. SoundCloud will take no commission on any purchases, excluding fees and taxes. Dolly Parton has been cited by a judge striking down a proposed drag ban in Texas. Senate Bill 12, which was passed in 2023, bans “sexually oriented performances” from public venues and places where minors may be present.
