The estate of Dolly Parton is suing and requesting a restraining order against Bryan Seaver, the late icon’s nephew and head of security, The New York Times reports. Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, accuses Seaver of an “obscene” and “escalating campaign of threats” intended to extort money from the estate since Parton’s death. “I’m a killer”, Seaver wrote to one of Parton’s lawyers, the lawsuit claims. Placebo have announced a 2027 tour of Latin America celebrating their first two albums, with shows across Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico. The run forms part of the band’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations and will see Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal revisit material from their self-titled 1996 debut and 1998 follow-up ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, including tracks that have not regularly appeared in their live sets for years. Ozzfest has confirmed that it will return to the US in 2027, alongside its previously announced comeback at Birmingham’s Villa Park. The legendary metal festival, founded by Ozzy Osbourne and his wife and manager Sharon, is being revived next year for the first time since 2018.
