The reunited indie band played Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on Monday (July 6), the first of two intimate warm-up shows ahead of their summer 2026 outdoor run. During the set, Orlando Weeks and co aired the previously unreleased ‘Ballad Of So Long’, with the frontman asking the crowd: “Would anyone like to hear a new song? OK, just remember this is the first time, it’s like introducing a new person. Be polite – you don’t have to be super friendly,…
We know, generally speaking, where Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell is: in a hospital in the Washington, D.C., area. What we don’t know is why he’s there, when he will leave, and what state he is in right now. McConnell, 84, has been hospitalized for a full three weeks. He was initially taken in on June 14 for unclear reasons. While McConnell’s team and several Republican allies have insisted that he is communicative and will return to work, the vague information they’ve provided and McConnell’s health record have sparked a fierce rumor mill speculating that the former Senate majority leader’s condition…

A woman charged with the felony stalking of Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham must undergo a mental health evaluation by a clinical psychologist, who will prepare a report on whether she is competent to stand trial, a judge ruled Tuesday. Michelle Dick, 55, appeared in court as her public defender asked that Dr. Karine Shakib-Beltran be allowed to examine Dick in custody and access her private medical history to assess whether she understands the charges filed against her in April. Prosecutors have charged her with six felonies and a misdemeanor after she allegedly assaulted Buckingham with a motor vehicle and hurled…
When Slam Frank opened last September at the Asylum, a 150-seat Off-Broadway performance space in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen district, it had no marketing budget and no marquee actors in its cast. What it did have was an out-there, provocative storyline — a progressive theater troupe presents Anne Frank as a pansexual Latina with a Black mother, a neurodivergent gay father, an ultra-orthodox Jewish sister, and a gender-fluid love interest as they hide from the Nazis — and a vibrant hip-hop-meets-pop songbook studded with Broadway Easter eggs. Beginning today, fans of the show, along with the just plain curious, can download…

The never-ending guitarist drama on the summer leg of Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour reached a new stage on July 6 at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, when guitarist Julian Lage, who was AWOL for the previous five shows, suddenly appeared back in the lineup along with new guitarist Joel Paterson. Check out a video of show closer “I Shall Be Released” that was surreptitiously shot by a fan in the audience, flouting the rules that are often rigidly enforced at Dylan shows. When Lage last played with Dylan at the Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on…
