Sometimes reality meets fiction and the original mixes with the copy. After the success of MichaelAntoine Fuqua's film about Michael Jackson that surpassed Bohemian Rhapsody in terms of total grosses worldwide, the Jacksons have announced a new tour.
Beyond some historical inconsistencies and strange disappearances (see this article), Fuqua's film focuses on the first part of Michael's career, including the period with the family group the Jackson 5 and the reunion after the boom of Thriller by which time they were calling themselves the Jacksons.
For some time the group has been led by Marlon and Jackie Jackson, who are however the only two original members. They have announced four concerts from 6 to 13 November in the United Kingdom with Heatwave as the opener, or rather what remains of Rod Temperton's group, who is the co-author of various Michael pieces including Thriller and who passed away in 2016.
The Jacksons present the tour as “The Jacksons featuring original members of the Jackson 5”, including Mitchell Zhangazha, who plays Michael Jackson in MJ The Musicaland Haydon Eshun, who did it for many years in musicals Thriller. Among the pieces that will be heard, I Want You Back, Blame It on the Boogie, Can You Feel It.
