Solange has taken to Instagram to mourn Hayden Panettiere, who died of cardiac arrest on Sunday. In 2006, Panettiere and the singer co-starred in the teen cheerleading movie Bring It On: All or Nothing. In a series of posts, Solange shared stills from the movie and paid tribute to the late actress. “Rest in peace Hayden,” she wrote. “In peace, because you are so deserving of it. We had so many parallels in our lives, and the world watched you so courageously live in your radical truth telling your story. We watched your endless quest for vulnerability and healing.”
She continued: “I salute your journey and I honor the work we created together that became something that really means something to people… reaching people we couldn’t have imagined at the time, as two young girls, trying to keep looking to the light. The light surrounds you now. Rest easy Hayden.”
On Sunday, Panettiere was found unresponsive in her temporary home in Greenville, South Carolina. She was 36 years old. Fellow stars Connie Britton, Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, and Viola Davis have all paid tribute to the late actress.
