“Sono Lucio” (Sony Music Italy), the new anthology dedicated to Lucio Dalla, will be released on September 18th. The collection retraces the artistic journey of the Bolognese singer-songwriter through a journey that intertwines music, poetry and images, addressing both those who have always followed him and those approaching his work for the first time.
Great attention was also paid to the graphic aspect of the project. The cover uses a famous photograph by Luigi Ghirri, while the title is reproduced in Lucio Dalla's original handwriting, a detail that makes the edition even more personal. The volume is also enriched by a selection of photographs by Ghirri himself, transforming the anthology into a real collector's item.
“Sono Lucio” will be available in three physical editions: a numbered double LP on “Azzurro Mare” colored vinyl, exclusively for the Sony Music Store, a double LP on 180 gram black vinyl and a double CD. All the songs have been remastered from the original analog tapes in high resolution (192 kHz/24 bit), under the L'Archivio del Suono brand. Here is the link to the preorder.
To offer a listening experience with maximum fidelity and quality on all formats, the LP and CD tracklists have some slight differences, designed to respect the length limits of vinyl and preserve the high audio quality. The CD version, thanks to its greater capacity, includes an even larger number of Dalla's songs. In both there are some of the most loved and representative songs of his repertoire: from “Caruso” to “Anna e Marco”, passing through “Futura”, “Cara” and “Attenti al lupi”.
