The first edition of the Ziggy Fest – Festival of Independent Culturesa new event that brings the experience of the Ziggy Club, the historic Turin ARCI club active for ten years in the promotion of independent music and alternative cultures, to the heart of the Piedmont mountains.
Designed and organized by Zigg APSin collaboration with the youth association Sonador della Val Pellice, the festival was created with the aim of creating an event capable of combining live music, artistic research, valorisation of the territory and cultural participation, transforming Val Pellice into a meeting place for artists, the public and the community for two days.
The Ziggy Fest represents something new in the Piedmontese cultural panorama: a festival that chooses the mountain not as a simple setting, but as an integral part of the experience. The landscape, the paths, the local productions and the history of the valley dialogue with a program dedicated to independent music scenes, giving life to an event that goes beyond the traditional format of the music festival. The programming will be divided into two thematic days.
On Saturday 8 August the stage will be dedicated to metal, stoner and experimental soundswhile Sunday 9 August will be the turn of the punk and hardcore scenewith the participation of bands from different realities of the Italian independent scene.
