In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about the discussion between Fabri Fibra and Geolier within the new season of New Scene. The two rappers – supported respectively by Guè and Rose Villain – discussed the topic of family with rather contrasting positions. Things remained calm until Geolier insisted with some rather personal questions addressed to the rapper from Senigallia who claimed that his family had always hindered him.
Now, a few days later, Nesli, Fibra Fibra's brother, has intervened on the issue. The rapper and singer thus interrupted a silence of almost twenty years by sending an open and public letter to his brother. «Your family has never hindered you and has always believed in you, in the name of the greatest value: love», Nesli's words. Who lends a hand to his brother Fabrizio: «Perhaps, after all this time, it is time to welcome what has happened with greater serenity, without leaving room for anger and resentment».
This is the message:
Dear brother,
I think the time has come to speak to you with an open heart and tell you that all the evil, all the pain you have felt and that that pain has generated, we can let them go, because they belong to the past.
Your family has never hindered you and has always believed in you, in the name of the greatest value: love. Because loving also means leaving one free to be and become what one is destined to be.
And that's what we did: we left you free, despite the pain. We did not walk beside you on your path, because it was yours and not ours.
And when you chose to walk away, we respected your decision. We never asked for anything, because authentic love also knows how to take a step back. Everyone lives their own story and guards their own truth.
But everything you've experienced has made you the man you are today, for better or for worse. And perhaps, after all this time, it is time to welcome what has been with greater serenity, without leaving room for anger and resentment.
