Vasco Rossi inaugurated the 2026 stadium tour with date zero at the Romeo Neri stadium in Rimini, in front of around 25 thousand spectators, to which were added the 25 thousand present at the following evening reserved for the fan club. A show lasting over two hours which confirmed the bond between the singer-songwriter from Zocca and his audience, spanning almost half a century of repertoire, from his beginnings to his most recent production.
Before the concert, Vasco met with journalists and reiterated the meaning he attributes to his live performances: “The concert is an extraordinary form of aggregation. We feel a healthy and scandalous collective happiness”. When asked about the role of music in the contemporary world, he replied without hesitation: “Music will save the world, that for sure. It will at least save us people.” Quoting Nietzsche, he added: “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
There was no shortage of references to international current events. “There are strange individuals, sociopaths who start wars for their exclusive personal interest,” he said, focusing on the consequences of conflicts on civilian populations. Hence the definition of concerts as “a form of active resistance against hatred, violence and fear”. Vasco then claimed the value of his songs as a communication tool: “I write poems with music and I practically speak with them. I don't need to make speeches”. Presenting the show, he finally anticipated: “This is a very ironic, ferocious, provocative lineup”, designed to “exorcise this very dark historical moment”.
At 8.45pm the concert will start with “Vado al massimo”. In the background, an impressive stage production, characterized by a 70 meter wide stage, a three-dimensional scenography and over 1,200 square meters of LED screens. From then on Vasco alternated classics from the 1980s, symbolic songs from his repertoire and more recent pieces, maintaining a constant dialogue with the public.
The central part of the show accentuated the social and political themes with songs such as “Gli spari sopra” and “C'è chi dice no”, while the finale brought together some of the most anticipated moments of his career: “Sally”, “Sono solo noi”, “Vita spericolata”, “Canzone” and the final “Albachiara”.
