Lorenzo Salvetti won the last edition of Friends of Maria De Filippi and, a week later, he released his first EP Stupid life. He told our microphones everything behind the construction of this first project, built with Canova, Steve Tarta, Gianmarco Grande and other authors and musicians.
He also told us about the whole journey he experienced in the talent show, including the up and down moments, starting from the crisis in the episode that would have led to the semi-final.
Lorenzo Salvetti talks about the crisis during Amici 25
Reading it today he smiles, but in that episode Lorenzo Salvetti he had collapsed on stage after singing on the piano. A sum of accumulated emotions, the loss of the glove, a deeply felt responsibility. The artist's story:
“I amplify my emotions a lot, and little by little I'm trying to improve. There will still be many of them in the future, so I'm trying to experience everything with more serenity. My family helped me a lot in this thing: not having anyone there with me, that episode was an accumulation of many things.”
“I had lost an overturned glove and I felt a very high responsibility in my body, I felt terrible about it and I felt the blow a lot. It went ahead with the ballot and with You'll see you'll see Of Tenco that I sang with my eyes closed, something I'm often told not to do. Then I finished and collapsed.”
“Now I smile. Looking back at it, I didn't smile at all, but it was also a test to understand that I have to throw things out and not keep things inside. I have to remember that I'm 18: I put a reminder in my phone.”
The detail of the reminder in the phone is part of a larger theme that Lorenzo Salvetti recognizes about himself: “I am a very shy person, very introverted, and sometimes extroverted. In the artistic part I am more extroverted, in life I tend to be more shy. When I gain confidence I free myself”.
The fear of the recording world and the aftermath of Amici
During the program Lorenzo Salvetti he had spoken openly about the fear of the recording world. We asked him how he is now, a week after his victory:
“I'm much more settled, I've reflected on this. I was 17 years later X Factor and there was a lot of talk about it in the media, and I was overwhelmed. I kept reading about kids destroyed after talent shows and I felt bad. Now I have greater awareness and I am much calmer. I hope to move forward peacefully, without paranoia.”

Before talking about the EP we asked him about his experience with the musical and with performing Diego Armando Maradonaa role that awaits him on the theater stages:
“It will be very demanding, we understand well. I did 11 years of theater, also doing musicals, and it's something I started to cure the stuttering problem I had, because I was tired of going to the speech therapist.”
“I always had, around the age of 14, that feeling of having to choose between theater and music, and it went on until this opportunity arose and I took it. I'm happy, it's an important thing.”
“Stupida Vita”: Lorenzo Salvetti's first EP
On the EP, Lorenzo Salvetti you don't want to be told the story of the already defined project. Stupid life it is clearly an experimental album, in which the artist is still looking for his own signature.
“Stupid life it is a collection of a year of experiments that I did in many places, with many parts by Lorenzo. At first listen it seems like something put there by chance, but instead it's a first EP from a guy who is experimenting and understanding. I've only recently entered this professional world and I'm also doing targeted and precise research.”
“There is the super electronic production of Canova with Roller Coaster. There is Via Santiniwhich I wrote entirely by myself and which talks about weaknesses, something I never do. I never write about my weaknesses because I don't want people to know what I'm afraid of. But this piece, born in August, makes me proud. Produced by Gianmarco Grandeit is a very beautiful piece because it shows a Lorenzo who reflects on himself.”

“I'm at just 25% and I'm very proud of it, I'm very calm about it. The imprint I would like to give is singer-songwriter, very played. I like to hear the strums of the guitar on the microphone, the hammers on the piano strings, with a search for an important sound.”
