Cristiano Godanoone of the most influential singer-songwriters of the Italian alternative rock scene, with his band Marlene Kuntz he has spanned over thirty years of music, leaving a profound mark on the writing, sound and imagination of multiple generations. Voice, author and thought of one of the most recognizable artistic paths on the national scene, Godano joins the roster IMARTS with his solo projects and with new scenic forms that further expand his expressive field. The projects presented are Human Things, Live solo And Words and Music: three different and complementary declinations of a journey that brings together song, story and thought.
Among the new scenic forms there is Human Things, new project never brought to the stage beforewhich sees Cristiano Godano on stage together with Enrico “Drigo” Salvi of the Negritas. A rare, essential and vibrant meeting: Godano, of Marlene Kuntz, and Drigo, of Negrita, two historical signatures of Italian music, stage a show in which the depth of the story is intertwined with the strength of the music played live. A format that unites acoustic performances, narrative moments and author readings in an intimate and powerful flow, keeping the music at the center of the dialogue. THEThe repertoire takes shape from the meeting of different and complementary worlds: songs taken from Godano's solo career and from works written for Marlene Kuntz, a selection of Drigo's pieces from the Negrita repertoire and some significant covers. Languages and ways of playing mix, giving life to an intense and poetic, intimate and energetic sound. Alongside the music, the show includes spoken moments, conceived as a spontaneous and natural exchange of impressions starting from the themes evoked by the lyrics of the songs. Both artists, authors of published books, will also propose short readings chosen from their works, in connection with the themes of the show.
Live solo instead returns the most essential dimension of Cristiano Godano's solo career. After over thirty years of career as leader of Marlene Kuntz, his solo artistic project began five years ago with the album I was heartbrokena debut appreciated by critics for its poetics and musicality, played in over 200 live shows in every area of Italy and was a finalist in the Tenco license plates. With the new album Stay close to meproduced together with Luca Rossi, Godano adds a piece to a career dictated by expressive urgency, which delves into the density of feelings. In the live show, Godano tells his story through his songs, giving life to one intense and direct show, in which the distance with the audience is eliminated. The most representative compositions of his career are proposed in their most essential form, stripped of all ornamentation to let all the strength and delicacy emerge. The result is a elegant and profound concert, where the past and present intertwine in a continuous dialogue.
Words and Music it is the show in which Cristiano Godano presents himself to the public in an intimate and personal dimension. Accompanied by a moderator who guides him in a conversation full of ideas, from music to literature, through personal and artistic reflections, the artist alternates the dialogue with the performance of songs from the Marlene Kuntz repertoire in an acoustic version, just guitar and voice. In this meeting-confessionGodano tells his story through his songs, giving life to an intense and direct show, in which the distance with the audience is eliminated. The show develops between the most significant pieces of his career and moments dedicated to memories, anecdotes and reflections on his long artistic experience.
