After announcing the grand finale of the tour BAILA (sexy thing) 25th – Under the moonlight at San Siro, Fornaciari “Sugar” sugar relaunches with another special project. The Emilian bluesman has in fact revealed that he will celebrate the 40 years of Blues with 20 concerts at the Verona Arenadivided between 2027 and the 2028.
The first cycle will include ten datesexpected in all likelihood in September 2027, a period that coincides with the artist's birthday (September 25). These will follow ten more evenings in 2028once again in the setting of the Verona Arena.
40 years of Blue's: the party at the Verona Arena
Published June 15, 1987, Blues is the fourth studio album by Sugar and represents a real keystone of his career (upon release it sold 1,280,000 copies), as well as a cornerstone for both national and international discography.
The reason for such an extraordinary success? “This album contains 9 songs and over time they have all become hits. Today it rarely happens“, says Zucchero.
Then he adds: “Blues it is a homegrown record, genuine and honest from a musical point of view. The lyrics are simple, but very beautiful, and perhaps for this very reason successful“.

Sugar: a bridge between past and future
If Blues represents a fundamental stage in his career, Sugar keep looking forward. And so, during a meeting with the press, in addition to announcing the new concerts at the Verona Arena, the Emilian bluesman also spoke about the artists with whom he would like to collaborate in the more or less near future.
Among the Italian names he expressed particular appreciation for Psalm – who he defined as a “current” artist, in whose lyrics he can easily recognize himself -, then also mentioning Marracash, Blanco And Lastwhich he described as “a war machine”.
Looking instead at the international scene, Sugar revealed that he would like to collaborate with Dua Lipawhile, being able to go back in time, he would have liked to record a song together with Amy Winehousean artist he continues to deeply admire.
