As (almost) always, his fans had seen it through. Taylor Swift will be part of the soundtrack of Toy Story 5.
In recent days, after the appearance and disappearance of a countdown on the musician's page, fans had begun to think that Swift was involved in Toy Story 5. The news was quickly denied by the two directors and the producer, ready to do an excellent job in hiding the traces of this collaboration.
Now, however, the official news is given by the singer-songwriter herself. “I've always dreamed of writing a song for those characters that I adore since I was 5 years old and watched the first film of the saga,” Taylor wrote on his social media. «I immediately fell in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to preview some scenes. I wrote the song as soon as I got home from the screening.”
The song, I Knew It, I Knew Youwas written by Taylor Swift with Jack Antonoff (here is our interview with the producer published today) and will be a return to her country roots. The song, as presented on the musician's website, will be released on various single CDs with different versions of the song (original, solo piano, and acoustic).
I Knew It, I Knew You will be released this Friday, June 5th.
It's a *Toy* Story 🤠
You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @Pixar's @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I've always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I've adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story… pic.twitter.com/CRdhM5eLBt— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) June 1, 2026
