The fifth edition of the Videoclip Italia Awardsthe event dedicated to the Italian music video scene. For the first time the program took place over three days, hosted in the spaces of BASIC, Tac And TAV Academy. The most awarded video clips of the 2026 edition are those made for Blanco, Shablo And Lucio Corsiwhile the Director of the Year award went to Enea Colombi.
The international jury, made up of over eighty experts, awarded the prizes in three main categories: musical genres, technical prizes and special prizes. There was no shortage of hot topics in the sector on stage: the use ofgenerative artificial intelligence in audiovisual forms, the structural precariousness of the sector and the lack of foresight of public funding.
Blanco, Damn Anger: the most awarded video clip of the edition
The video clip of Damn Anger Of Blancodirected by Francesco Lorusso for the collective Broga's (production Master For EMI Records Italy), established itself as the best overall work of the 2026 edition. It won four awards: Best Italian Videoclip, Best Pop Videoclip, Best VFX and Best Styling. It is the broadest recognition of Videoclip Italia Awards 2026.
Shablo And My word: three awards and the Extraclip Award for Manifest
The works carried out for Shablo they received a total of three awards. The video clip of My wordthe song brought to the Sanremo Festival with Gué, Joshua And Tormentwon the award for Best Cinematography, signed by the director of photography Alessandro Ubaldiand the one as the work most appreciated by the student jury. The direction is by Enea Colombi (production Talcum powder for labels Urubamba And Universal Music Italy).
The third award went to Manifestthe work signed by the director Ludovico Fontanesi for the new self-titled album by Shablowinner of the award Extraclip: a category dedicated to hybrid works that go beyond the traditional language of the video clip while maintaining its promotional function.
Lucio Corsi, I wanted to be tough: two awards for the video clip by Tommaso Ottomano
Two prizes also for I wanted to be tough Of Lucio Corsidirected by Thomas Ottoman (who also co-wrote the song with the artist). The video clip, produced by Borotalco.tv For Sugarwon Best Indie Videoclip and received the magazine's award Billboard Italy.
Enea Colombi director of the year: three awards for Shablo and Ceri Wax
Among directors, 2025-2026 ended as a particularly solid year for Enea Colombian author who made his self-taught debut at the age of 14. Pigeons took home three total awards: Director of the Year, Best Editing for the video clip of Only 2 Of Ceri Wax and Student Jury Award for My word Of Shablo.
The video clip of Only 2 also won as Best Electronic Videoclip and Best Color Grading (signed by Vincent Love), confirming itself among the most technically solid works of the entire 2026 edition. On the stage of Videoclip Italia Awards two prizes also went to the collective Broga's and to the director Thomas Ottoman.
Francesca Belli emerging director, Samir Fennane applauded for the low budget
Francesca Belli was elected Emerging Director of the Year, while Samir Fennane he was one of the most applauded of the final evening for the low budget video clip of The Arabian Nights made for Medley. They are two names that the sector is following carefully as the future of the Italian video clip scene.
Themes of the sector: artificial intelligence, precariousness, financing
The 2026 edition of Videoclip Italia Awards has placed three nodes of the sector at the center. The first is the use ofgenerative artificial intelligence in audiovisual forms, from video clips to short films, up to commercials and social content. The second is the quality of artistic works today compromised by the structural precariousness of those who work in the sector. The third is the lack of foresight of public funding.
On the question of funds, the Film Commission Turin Piedmont was the regional entity that supported the most finalist video clips: three works in total.
The director of. participated in the debates Lombardy Film Commission Angela D'Arrigothe digital artist Lorenza Liguorithe director Lorenzo Silvestri of the collective Bendothe director of photography Francesca Pavonithe staff of Trans Audio Video, Gabriele Ottino And Sharon Ritossa of the creative studio 2Riot. A masterclass was dedicated precisely to Enea Colombi.
The artistic directors of the event, Alessio Rosa And Nicola Marcedduthey commented:
“We are extremely satisfied with the fifth edition: great participation in all three days organised, discussions enhanced by the quality of the interventions in the talks, prizes that will push new talents and established artists not to abandon this industry. Which, despite being underfunded, continues to be the best possible companion for the music industry”.
The sixth edition of Videoclip Italia Awards will return before summer 2027, with some events also between next autumn and winter, unrelated to the prizes.
