Vasco Rossi has published the official video of the 2026 live version of A new song for her taken from the current tour. It is considered the third song of the “saga” started with Albachiara and continued with A song for you. Originally contained in What's happening in the city from 1985, is an adaptation of With a Shake of Her Head by Blizzard (at this link).
The direction of the live video is by Pepsy Romanoff, the band is the one on tour made up of Vince Pastano (musical direction, guitars and backing vocals), Stef Burns (guitar), Alberto Rocchetti (keyboards), Andrea Torresani (bass, synth bass), Donald Renda (drums), Antonello D'Urso (programming, acoustic guitar, backing vocals, percussion), Roberta Montanari (backing vocals, percussion), Andrea Ferrario (sax, percussion), Tiziano Bianchi (trumpet), Roberto Solimando (trombone).
Meanwhile, the announcement of Vasco's “jubilee” in Rome is approaching, the 2027 residency that will attract half a million people. It will therefore not be a single concert but a “residency” which, as can be understood from a Live Nation press release, will be held in June and will be preceded by various events to celebrate half a century of Vasco's musical history.
«Starting next spring and then throughout the month of June, to open the doors of its most prestigious venues by hosting the largest live event (and not only) ever held in the history of Italian music». The project was created to «celebrate not only an extraordinary artistic achievement, but the unrepeatable bond built, song after song, album after album, concert after concert, with its audience over half a century. A truly national holiday. A celebration destined, furthermore, to bring an extraordinary cultural, tourist and economic impact to the Capital. A historic gathering (not for a single evening therefore but which will cover several months) for a historic anniversary and with a grand finale when everything will move there, where everything really comes to life: under the stage”.
Meanwhile, the 2026 tour continues: tonight and tomorrow Vasco will be at the San Nicola Stadium in Bari, on the 23rd and 24th in Ancona, on the 28th and 29th in Udine. Inside the stadiums it will be possible to find the special monographic issue of Rolling Stone Italy dedicated to Vasco.
