One twist after another. Despite the cancellation of Hellwatt Festival and the controversies that continue to surround the matter, the organizers do not seem willing to give up. In a long statement published on social media, the festival team announced that it will still try to bring Kanye West to Italy on July 18th.
«In the next few days we will try to ask Kanye West's team and all our technicians if it would be possible to bring him to a location near Reggio Emilia again on July 18, 2026», we read in the note. “We will try it for you and keep you updated on everything here.”
The statement comes after weeks of tension between the organizers of Hellwatt Festival and C.Volo SpA, the company that manages the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia. In the reconstruction provided by the festival team, the project would have been progressively emptied and transformed to become Pulse of Gaia, the new event announced in recent weeks.
According to Hellwatt, the change in name and concept would have harmed consumers who had purchased tickets to the original festival. For this reason, the organizers invite spectators to send documentation relating to tickets purchased, travel, hotels and other expenses incurred to classaction@hellwattfestival.com, with the aim of evaluating a possible collective action.
«We will collect all this evidence to evaluate a class action against the producer and manager of RCF Arena, C.Volo SpA, as it deliberately changed the name and concept of the festival, thus deceiving consumers who bought tickets to participate in Hellwatt Festival and ended up with Pulse of Gaia».
The statement also raises doubts about the cancellation of Travis Scott's concert and the reasons given in recent months. “The cancellation of Travis Scott leaves absolutely many questions that we hope will be clarified by the authorities with respect for consumers,” writes the team.
Finally, the organizers promise that the Hellwatt brand is not destined to disappear. «Hellwatt Festival will take place in 2027 in Europe, outside Italy», reads the note. All those who had purchased a ticket with the Hellwatt Festival brand, the organizers claim, will be entitled to a free registration for the 2027 edition.
For the moment it remains to be seen whether the attempt to bring Kanye West back to Italy on July 18th will actually materialize. But, at least in the intentions of the Hellwatt team, the game is not over yet.
