The return to origins after SEX WORKER
The title of the project is a statement. After having accustomed the public to continuous changes of direction, culminating in the concept album SEX WORKER with which he had closed the previous cycle of music, Spender chooses to return to his original sound.
The new song arriving on Friday goes in this direction: tight and direct flow, the rapper's most recognizable style, on the productions of Dielit. In the lyrics, a new awareness and the cheeky bars that have always characterized his way of writing coexist, together with the self-irony that is part of the character.
With I AM NOT A SPENDER the artist distances himself from the stereotypes built around his own path, without however giving up irreverence and the desire to say uncomfortable things.
Spender's path
Spender was formed in the liveliest years of the new Roman rap scene. After a long period as a cult name for a few, in the second half of 2020 it reaches wider visibility with Bowling And Don't Do Thattwo independent street hits born from the collaboration with Zyrtck And Friman and quickly spread on social media by his fan base.
In 2021 he publishes Viral And Viral 2two EPs that culminate in the anthem Unlock The Swag and who take him on tour in Italy with the collective 3020. From there the path continues between evolutions and changes of skin, up to the concept album SEX WORKER and to this new return to the roots.
