There is an air of change in Sanremo. After the farewell of Carlo Conti, the Stefano De Martino era has officially begun, at least in the rear. After seeing him last weekend at Mi Ami, the Rai presenter does not seem to give himself any respite in his attempt to find new solutions for the Italian Song Festival.
According to what was anticipated by Dagospia and subsequently reported by the main newspapers, the first big news could concern the regulation, in particular the relationship between Sanremo and Eurovision.
Until today, the Italian representative for Eurovision was the winner of Sanremo. This could change, if the rumors are confirmed. In fact, we are thinking of a day – Thursday – in which to implement a sort of competition in the competition dedicated to Eurovision. Just like the model of the European event, in fact, the competing singers would have the opportunity to present their song in a new guise, i.e. with an extensive live performance with dancers and so on. From this evening we would therefore vote on our representative.
A request that seems to come from the world of record production which is pushing for a renewal of the Festival after a rather weak last year lacking the so-called big names. The other evenings would remain unchanged: the first two days divided in half between the competing competitors, the covers on Friday and the grand finale on Saturday.
