Project by Computer Metal of the producer and performer Vittorio D'Amore, Master Boot Records is one of the most recognizable realities in the meeting between MIDI programmed metal, chiptune, demoscene and classical music. The live dimension of the project translates this imagery into a high-impact show, in which a complete band works alongside Commodore 64, Amiga 500 and a visual apparatus inspired by retro computer culture, video game classics and the demoscene. Active since 2016, MBR has built an increasingly solid international profile over the years, bringing its live performances to Europe and North America and establishing itself as one of the most peculiar names on the contemporary heavy scene.
The evening will be opened by Gom Jabbarduo formed by Federico Trimeri (Flock) And Fabio Bortolotti (Kenobit). The project was born from the meeting between a Game Boy played live without filters and a distorted guitarfor an essential, massive and direct show. Their proposal, defined as a “low resolution revolution”, takes shape in an angry and political cyberpunk imaginary, anticipated by the debut of the same name soon to be published by Subsound Records.
The date of September 6th inaugurates the journey of Bye Bye Moonan exhibition conceived as a curatorial project dedicated to the innovation of expressive languages and the construction of site-specific performances for the architectural space of Colonne 28.
