Marracash go back to where it all began. After celebrating the diamond achievement for Personthe rapper announced the Marra Block Partythe event staged on April 18, 2026 at Barona. Two months after the concert, the budget for the initiative also arrived: according to the Municipality, 6 have been collected 263,500 eurosintended for social projects and redevelopment interventions in the neighborhood where the artist grew up.
The Marra Block Party and the link with Barona
With the Marra Block Party, Marracash he brought music back to the Barona neighborhood, where he grew up and built part of his artistic identity.
The event, which took place on 18 April 2026 in via Enrico De Nicola in Milan, attracted thousands of people, transforming the neighborhood for a day into a large space dedicated to hip hop culture and the participation of the local community.
Since its announcement, the project has been presented as an initiative with social purposes. The proceeds of the event and the contribution of partners and sponsors were in fact intended to support redevelopment interventions and activities aimed at young people in Barona.
Marra Block Party, 263,500 euros raised for the Barona
Two months after the event, the first official budget of the event arrived Marra Block Party. As announced by the president of Municipality 6, Holy Minnitithe initiative has gathered 263,500 euros.
The resources will be used for various projects aimed at the Barona district. Among the planned interventions is the complete renovation of the school pitch Enrico De Nicolafrequented by Marracash during the years of growth in the neighborhood.
A part of the funds will also be allocated to psychological support courses aimed at young people in the area and to the creation of a recording studio which will be managed directly by the Barona kids.
Further urban and social redevelopment interventions are also planned. Projects that represent the concrete legacy left by the event, created with the aim of bringing attention and investments back to one of the neighborhoods symbolizing the personal and artistic history of Marracash.
Diamond disc person
The concert announcement comes after a historic milestone for Marracash. The album Personpublished on October 31, 2019has obtained the certification of diamond disc overcoming the 500,000 copies sold.
The project remained steadily in the rankings FIMI for further 330 consecutive weeksan unprecedented result for an album from the Italian rap scene.
To celebrate this milestone was also published Persona – Diamond Editiona special collector's version available for a limited time 500,000 seconds. The format includes, among others, tracks NEON – The wings with Elisa And SPORTS RMX with Lazza, Luchè, Paky And Taxi B.
With this project and the new event at Barona, the artist further strengthens the link between his personal history and the musical path that brought him to the top of the Italian scene.
