Available on all major streaming and download platforms starting Friday 19 June, Shadow in the Sun (Artist First) is the new single Goddess Culpa And Hi, I'm Vale.
The song “it's about a relationship that takes you completely, even when you know it's hurting you“, say the two artists.
Then they add: “Two people continue to look for each other amidst chaos, endless nights, excesses and moments in which it seems like they are totally lost inside the other. There is so much emotional confusion: Sometimes it feels like love, other times it just feels like addiction to the way that person makes you feel“.
Shadow in the Sun therefore has “the air of a summer made of evenings that were too long, messages ignored for hours and sudden returns when you thought it was really over, until you no longer recognize yourself or what you have become together. And in the end what remains is just noise: a noise that consumed you little by little, until you felt like 'ash', almost a shadow in its light”.
To accompany this story afrobeat sounds And Mediterranean influenceswhich act as a soundtrack to the veil of an incomplete feeling by its definition, which – despite everything – leaves a profound message: although we often see more “shadows in the sun” than light, authenticity is still possible and must be preserved.
