Harbor recently teased more projects with his Stranger Things co-star after addressing rumors of harassment and bullying from Brown prior to filming of the show's final season
Just months after the epic conclusion of Stranger ThingsDavid Harbor and Millie Bobby Brown are already itching to get back on set together. The co-stars will lead Jack Thorne's upcoming spy series from A24 coming to Netflix.
Rather than a superpower-wielding test subject, Brown will be portraying Rebecca, the estranged daughter of Matt Wolfe, the disgraced FBI agent played by Harbour. When Rebecca disappears while completing a spy mission of her own, Wolfe dusts off his past tools and tricks to rescue her.
“We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we've been lucky to collaborate with before,” said Jinny Howe, Netflix head of scripted series, US and Canada. “Jack Thorne's ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbor reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. A24 is the perfect partner to bring this story to our members around the world.”
Brown's husband, Jake Bongiovi, and father, Robert Brown, will serve as executive producers on the series.
Harbor recently teased more projects to come with Brown after addressing rumors of harassment and bullying prior to filming the final season of Stranger Things. It was reported that Brown allegedly filed claims against Harbor with producers of the show.
“It's a show that went on for 10 years. We worked together for 10 years during her formative teenage years, playing father and daughter. I don't know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years — you occasionally get into arguments, disagreements,” Harbor told Variety. “In families, it's OK because you're just in a disagreement and then you come back together. The problem with a billion-dollar show is that there's just hundreds of people who want to get involved.”
Directly addressing his relationship with Brown, he added, “You'll see more of me and Millie — 10 years wasn't enough. There is a special bond there. I love her. She loves me.”
