The violent storm that hit Milan on the evening of Saturday 18 July forced the organizers to interrupt the Bad Bunny concert at the La Maura Hippodrome and to order the evacuation of the public for safety reasons. The rain, accompanied by a strong hailstorm, gusts of wind and intense electrical activity, made it impossible for the show, which over 80 thousand people were watching, to continue.
Shortly after 9pm, a first message was released by the organizers, inviting spectators to wait about ten minutes in the hope that the bad weather would ease. However, as the weather conditions worsened, the next warning to evacuate the area arrived.
Bad Bunny was performing in the second of the two Milan dates of the “Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour“, after the sold out concert the previous evening, also hosted at the La Maura Hippodrome.
Numerous videos quickly appeared on social media documenting the moment the show was interrupted and the crowd leaving in the rain.

“The violent wave of bad weather, accompanied by an equally violent hailstorm, which hit the city of Milan shortly after 9pm, also hit the concert of the Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny who was performing at the San Siro racecourse – reads a note from the Fire Brigade – The firefighters took steps to evacuate the thousands of people who had come for the concert. Several spectators were injured, hit in particular on the head due to the size of the hail and rescued by 118 personnel. The concert was suspended. The arena remained guarded by the organizers and the police.”
The interruption of the show sparked numerous protests on social media, where many spectators spoke of their disappointment and asked for clarification on the fate of the concert. “He only sang six songs, they scream at us, they treat us badly to make us evacuate. It's disgusting, all full of mud. He even left late, he didn't even arrive halfway through the concert. We don't know if he'll do it again, if they'll give us a refund. The only thing we know is that it was cancelled”, wrote a fan.
Another spectator instead hopes for a recovery of the show: “We expect the concert to be postponed until tomorrow, but nothing is known. There are many people who have come from far away specifically for this date.”
