SpaceX’s soaring stock price — $169 at press time after opening at $150 — helped propel its CEO, already the world’s richest man, to a net worth of over $1.1 trillion, Forbes reports. Per the report, Musk is worth about $813 billion prior to the SpaceX IPO, almost three times more than the world’s second-richest…
A California judge agreed Friday to set a new trial in the sexual abuse case brought by Wade Robson and James Safechuck, the two Michael Jackson molestation accusers featured in the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland. The two men and their lawyer, John Carpenter, previously wanted their case heard before the release of the Michael biopic helmed by Training Day director Antoine Fuqua, but the case faced a series of delays and was previously set for trial in October 2027. On Friday, lawyers on both sides agreed to waive deadlines that would otherwise require the case to proceed to trial sooner.…
This week, a jury in McKinney, Texas convicted 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony of murder, sentencing him to 35 years in prison for the killing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet in April 2025. The case drew almost immediate national media attention. It was a shocking incident: a fight that escalated to murder at a high school track meet, the details of the incident disputed enough that support for both parties — the now-convicted killer and his victim — sprang up quickly. Disinformation and harassment campaigns mounted from both sides; family members of both victim and perpetrator were targeted. Right…
While chilling backstage at Gov Ball in New York City, Holly Humberstone joined Rolling Stone for an episode of our Song Shuffle series. The singer-songwriter shuffled songs on her phone, not having any idea what might pop up. “This is authentic,” she told Rolling Stone's Leah Lu. “Every time I click 'next song,' I'm afraid of what's going to come up.” First up was the 2021 Flyte cut “Everyone's a Winner.” “[They’re] a band from the UK I feel are the most underrated band of all time,” says Humberstone, who says the song is best heard during a “really introspective…

A judge has ordered Justin Baldoni to pay Blake Lively's legal fees, though she is not entitled to extra damages related to the dismissal of his $400 million defamation suit against his former It Ends With Us co-star. The dispute over damages and fees emerged alongside news that Lively and Baldoni had settled their contentious legal battle in early May, just before the case was set to go to trial. While the primary suit was settled with no monetary compensation for either side, Lively's lawyers preserved their motion to pursue damages and fees related to the dismissal of Baldoni's suit.…
Towards the end of the third show of Rush's Fifty Something Tour, the band experienced something nearly unimaginable for one of the most technically proficient and perfectionist acts of the rock era — a full musical train wreck that stopped the overture to “2112” right in its progged-out tracks. But no one actually made an instrumental mistake. Instead, two minutes in, Geddy Lee's bass went dead, and he whipped it off his shoulder, heading backstage for a replacement that failed to immediately arrive. It took his bandmates a while to notice, leading to a brief, fascinating guitar-and-drums-only rendition of the…
