vote6.5 Bands: DARKTHRONE Duration: 00:41:03 Available from: 05/08/2026 Label: Peaceville For those who read us regularly, our thoughts on Darkthrone are no mystery: an almost messianic reference, but one towards which we cannot hide doubts and perplexities; sure to repeat ourselves, beyond the specific rating of the latest albums, there is no doubt that for years it has been difficult to understand whether “they are there or they are making us”, and therefore to separate the wheat from the chaff, between brilliant and misunderstood ideas, indifference, or even taken for a ride. “Pre-Historic Metal”, which probably still deserves the purchase…

Dennis Locorriere, founding member of the Seventies country rock band Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, died at the age of 76. Locorriere died Saturday following a “long and courageous battle with kidney disease,” the “Cover of the Rolling Stone” band said in a statement Sunday. Locorriere previously announced in November 2025 that he would retire from touring. “Dennis faced his illness with remarkable strength, dignity, and resilience throughout, and remained deeply cherished by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warmth, love, and the lasting impact he had on those around him,” the statement read. “We…
vote7.0 Bands: THE GHOULSTARS Duration: 00:33:37 Available from: 05/15/2026 Label: Season Of Mist Even though they have actually released only one noteworthy album – 2002's “The Valley Of The Murderdolls”, while the forgettable 2010 sequel “Women And Children Last” arrived after the deadline – the Murderdolls have the not inconsiderable merit of having brought mainstream attention back to B-Movie-filled punk horror, simultaneously launching the solo career of the former Frankenstein frontman Drag Queen From The Planet 13. It is therefore welcome to see that a new “supergroup” arrives from Finland – a term to be taken with a pinch of…
Professor Green has spoken out to share advice to young people who are going through school with ADHD and autism. The East London rapper, real name Stephen Manderson, was diagnosed with the conditions later in life and has spent several years working as a mental health activist and campaigner, in particular supporting the suicide prevention charity CALM. He recently made an appearance on the BBC podcast Access All, a show that explores issues surrounding mental health and wellbeing, and he opened up about how not realising he had ADHD and autism impacted his own school days. “I couldn’t put my uniform on,” he said. “It was the…
Smith also served as musical guest Paul McCartney's drummer on Season 51 finale Will Ferrell and his celebrity lookalike, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, reunited during the actor's Saturday Night Live opening monologue. After Ferrell was introduced as host of the Season 51 finale, it was Smith who emerged from backstage to greet the audience. “Thank you very much, I'm thrilled to be back here hosting Saturday Night Live,” Smith-as-Ferrell said. “I was a cast member here for seven years, and now I'm hosting for the sixth time. Amazing! It really feels like coming home.” The real Ferrell…
Earlier this month, Republican county commissioners fast-tracked approval for a 40,000-acre data center in northwest Utah, blocking public comment from hundreds of furious locals. The Stratos project, as the venture is known, is backed by Shark Tank entrepreneur Kevin O'Leary through his investment company O'Leary Digital. It's designed to reach a 9-gigawatt power capacity, making it one of the largest “hyperscale” data centers in the world; at its projected $100 billion buildout, the center would generate and consume twice as much power as the entire state of Utah currently uses. Despite a massive public outcry, Box Elder County commissioners unanimously…
