Maybe you heard, but in case you didn't, there was a bit of a party in midtown Manhattan over the weekend. Not the July 4 celebrations. Nothing to do with the World Cup, either. Just a casual invite-only ceremony and celebration at a 20,000 capacity arena for the wedding of noted singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and professional football player/podcast host Travis Kelce. If you didn't hear anything about it, no worries at all. Seriously, it wasn't that big of a deal anyway, especially with everything else going on these days. It's just so hard to keep up! But if you are…

Taylor Swift has defeated a copyright lawsuit brought by a self-published Florida poet who claimed the newly married superstar lifted lyrics, imagery, and ideas from her poems for several songs and videos. In a stern 10-page ruling issued Monday and obtained by Rolling Stone, a federal judge in Florida permanently dismissed Kimberly Marasco’s lawsuit, finding that it “closely mirrors” a prior complaint from Marasco that likewise failed. The judge said no amount of “careful drafting” in the follow-up filing could transform “basic ideas” and “ubiquitous metaphors” into protectable expression. For instance, Marasco had claimed Swift’s song “The Man,” with its…

Morrissey has hit out at the BBC for not playing his new single ‘Notre-Dame’, claiming that “diversity is a lie”. The former Smiths singer shared a new post on his website Morrissey Central yesterday (July 5), in which he claimed that ‘Notre-Dame’ had reached Number Six in the “Official UK Chart” without radio support. The track is currently listed at Number Six on the Official Singles Sales Chart, while also reaching Number Five on the Physical Singles Chart and Number Four on the Vinyl Singles Chart. It has not, however, charted on the main Official Singles Chart. “The public wants to hear the song, but the BBC will not play it even though their…

According to a Sunday report from PoliticalCommerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and White House FIFA World Cup Task Force executive director Andrew Giuliani — son of Rudy Giuliani — immediately moved…
After sharing a vulnerable post addressing being called an “industry plant,” Yungblud has received a wave of support from fellow musicians and industry peers, including from SZA, Anthrax's Scott Ian, Lauren Jauregui, and Alyssa Milano. Last week, Yungblud closed out the third year of his festival Bludfest in Czechia and was hit with a wave of emotion. Addressing a crowd of 20,000, the English punk rocker held back tears as he admitted to feeling “disconnected from everything” but upon staring out at the sea of faces before him, he felt “safe from the outside world” and remembered that he belonged…
