Since then, the festival has travelled to 27 countries across the world. In December, it was confirmed that the event would be taking place in Glasgow, the first Scottish edition of the festival, and set to take place at Kelvingrove Park on July 3 and 4. Now, Glasgow Life – who were working with the festival organisers to…
Despite a handful of boldface names in the credits—Porte, Bruinsma, keyboardist Duval Timothy, cellist Lucinda Chua—Music for Existing isn’t really a solo album peppered with features; it’s more like an epistolary collage. To create the record, Martyn sent his friends brief sketches of ideas he’d worked up in the studio; once they sent back their own contributions, he set about cobbling it all together, cutting and rearranging to his heart’s content. That approach helps give the record its unusually loose rhythmic feel. Nothing feels snapped to an arbitrary grid; while the tempo doesn’t vary from bar to bar, what happens…
Reading Galvanist's biography, one of the things that arouses greatest interest is certainly their place of origin. If it's true that you should never judge a record by its cover, nor… Daniel D`Amico for SANREMO.FM
Why Last it is so successful, told by those who manage it Last Journal in view of the big concert, The fairy tale foreveron July 4, 2026 in front of 250,000 people. Sammy Hagar has some advice on love. After 31 years of marriage to his wife Kari Karte Hagar, the Red Rocker shared insight into what has kept the couple together throughout the decades. When speaking to People, Hagar offered the first part to his revelation. “I’ll be serious about this because, you know, the first thing you say is, ‘happy wife, happy life,’ but one thing is that we’re equals,” the musician, 78, said. “We’ll get into it like all couples, but we’re always equal — there’s no her under my thumb, or me under her thumb.” Hagar also emphasized…
For a decade, Lil Pete has been holding down the Bay Area with sensitive, post-Jacka mood music. He’s the kind of melodic truthteller essential to the regional hip-hop ecosystem, one that can capture hyperlocal anxieties of where they’re from, one in which the appeal isn’t due to one specific song or mixtape, but the relationship you build with their music as they get older. Think Kevin Gates’ unfiltered struggle ballads tracing his antics in the Deep South or the confessional anthems of Lil Durk—“The Voice,” as he likes to be called—that hone in on the emotional contradictions of drill. When…
Rappers rarely retire. They claim to, often with fanfare, but they almost never do. So, when Latto—whose ascent over the past decade has been steep and hard-fought—wrote on X that her fourth album, Big Mama, would be her last, it seemed unfathomable. It was only worth fathoming because Latto has actively pursued this career since age 10. In the 17 years since, she’s turned down a deal from one of modern hip-hop’s waymakers and landed 14 tracks on the Hot 100. She’s widely beloved by fans and peers alike, and Big Mama boasts several strong features from friendly superstars: Doja Cat,…
