Nashville International Airport is set to be renamed in honour of Dolly Parton following a unanimous vote by the governing board. Mastodon have shared a response to being sued by Brent Hinds’ estate, who are arguing that the late guitarist wasn’t fully compensated after his exit from the band. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Hinds’ estate claims it received a check from the band for $80,000, seemingly reflective of the sum of the singer-guitarist’s interests. U2 have been named MusiCares’ 2027 Persons Of The Year. The band are set to be awarded the honour by the Recording Academy’s charitable arm, which raises funds to support musicians in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis, at a benefit gala at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on February 5 next year.
