A former X Factor finalist has denied murdering a social media influencer by running her over with a car in central London. Gabrielle Carrington allegedly struck Klaudia Zakrzewska outside Argyll Street’s Inca nightclub at around 4.00am on April 19. Per BBC News, 29-year-old Carrington appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Bronzefield prison to deny the charge. She had been initially charged with attempted murder, but that charge was ultimately changed to murder after Zakrzewska died from her injuries six days after the incident. Trainspotting: The Musical has cancelled its UK tour as tickets were “just not selling”. The cult novel turned film was adapted for the stage by creator Irvine Walsh, who wrote songs for the musical alongside Stephen McGuinness. The musical also included covers of Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust for Life’ and Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’, which were both prominently featured in the original movie. Now, following its London run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Trainspotting: The Musical has cancelled the rest of its UK tour, pulling planned shows in Glasgow, Aberdeen Manchester, Sheffield and more. David “Z” Rivkin, a Grammy-winning producer and one of the architects of the “Minneapolis Sound,” has died at the age of 78. Throughout his prolific career, Rivkin famously worked with Prince during his early years, helped create Lipps Inc.’s hit “Funkytown,” and worked with a number of artists including Etta James, the Jets, Fine Young Cannibals, and more.
