From 10 July 2026 it will be in radio rotation “I'll take you to the sea”, the new single by Andrea Cardia (Maionese Project) available on digital streaming platforms from July 3rd.
“I'll take you to the sea” describes the wait for summer, falling in love with its details: from the blue sky in the evening to the national team shirt in the squares, until returning from the sea on a very old scooter with the sand still on its feet. In this frame he declares his love for his partner and her smile. The song is characterized by a rock sound but tinged with melancholy, with a production that takes care of every nuance and highlights the snare drum, recalling the typical sounds of the '80s.
The artist comments on the song: “This song is definitely something different from my past… I searched day and night together with my producer for the effect and sound of this snare drum which in my opinion gives a nice energy to the song… always trying to maintain my melancholic sound between words and guitar solos”.
In the video clip for “I'll take you to the sea”, Andrea tries to convey the love and magic of summer through an intimate live show on the pier of Finale Ligure, in Liguria. The direction of the video is signed by Alberto Gerbelle.
ANDREA CARDIA
Andrea Cardia he has always been breathing music. The guitar entered his life at just six years old and, from that moment on, he has never left it, becoming the inseparable companion of a writing journey that began twenty years ago. His is a music that has its roots in the great tradition of Italian songwriting: in his melodies you can feel the influences of pillars such as Antonello Venditti, Vasco Rossi and Ligabue, masters who have shaped his artistic sensitivity.
About a year ago his latest project was born, a more mature sound journey which sees the precious collaboration of producers Alberto Gerbelle and Alberto Macerata. At the center of his production are love stories and fragments of real life: authentic and universal stories that anyone can identify with, regardless of age. With a sound that ranges from enveloping ballads to more energetic moments, Andrea's goal remains constant: to continue writing sincere songs to share them with an ever-wider audience, transforming personal emotions into a collective experience.
