Gerardina Trovato stops. With a video published on her official Instagram profile, the singer-songwriter from Catania announced that she had to undergo two urgent surgeries and that she had to interrupt her tour I guarantee the returnthe live series started on June 13th.
The problem emerged during testing. An annoyance that seemed like tiredness and which instead, after a visit to the ear doctor and a contrast test, turned out to be a cyst in the throat that is pressing on the vocal cords.
“I felt a little pain during the tests. I thought it was tiredness, the ear doctor told me, he'll tell me maybe get a good sleep, a day or two at most of rest and then go.”
Gerardina Trovato: two surgeries and the tour postponed
The diagnosis came from the exam and changed the plans. In the video the artist reports the doctor's words as he received them.
“The words of the ear doctor when you hear that it shouldn't, are not a guarantee. It shouldn't be malignant, it should be benign.”
There are two planned interventions, one for the cyst and one for the vocal cords, followed by a rehabilitation process. This is why the 2026 tour stops.
“Unfortunately, for this 2026 tour, I will be in the hospital and in rehabilitation. And the only thing I tell you, and I say it to the fans: I guarantee you that I will be back singing as before, if not better than before, as soon as possible.”

I guarantee the return: what the project was supposed to be
The tour that started on June 13th was supposed to lead to the publication of a recording project with the successes of Gerardina Trovato in version 3.0, two unreleased songs and a surprise not yet revealed, with expected release on digital, CD and numbered vinyl.
In the video the artist thanks the band and manager Nando, and describes the disappointment of a return to Sicily that he had been waiting for for a long time.

From returning to TikTok to today
The stop comes at a stage that finally seemed to be uphill.
