DAGOOD YL public DEMONthe new album available digitally from Friday 24 July. Ten songs that close the journey built in recent months with hits of singles, from LAGUCCI to RODRIGO RISIVI until FIRST DAY OUTand which represent the first real test for the seventeen-year-old Roman.
The challenge is all here: to understand if the trap corrido in Italian can last the distance of an entire album or if it only works on singles. Until today DAGOOD YL he worked on isolated releases, each with its own identity. DEMON it is the moment when that language must demonstrate that it has a structure.

Three of the ten songs had already been released as singles. The other seven are unpublished, with titles that confirm the imagery built up until now between references to luxury and dialect.
DAGOOD YL and corridos tumbados: the genre that didn't exist in Italy
The sound of DAGOOD YL belongs to the corridos tumbados, a genre also known as corrido trap, born in Mexico and brought to the top of the international charts by Plum weight, Nathanael Cano And Royal Force. In Italy no one had really interpreted it before him, and the move was not obvious: importing such an identifying language risked producing a copy. The Roman artist instead chose to keep the Latin sounds and replace the Mexican imagery with that of the capital's suburbs.
In recent months his name has started to circulate with ever greater force, attracting the attention of artists and producers such as Ghali, Sadturs, Kid Yugi, Sick Luke, Side, Star And Guéwho publicly supported his path. A transversal endorsement, ranging from the old guard of Italian rap to the most sought-after producers of the moment.
From #FREEDAG to DEMON: the journey of DAGOOD YL
At just 17 years old, DAGOOD YL he is already one of the most discussed names on the Italian urban scene. Originally from San Giorgio di Acilia, in the southern outskirts of Rome, he built much of his artistic growth during the period of house arrest, with music as his only channel of connection with the outside world.
A symbolic passage came with the special permission that allowed him to perform at the General Warehouses of Milan as a guest on the show of Sadturs & KIIDhis first live meeting with the public, followed by the guest appearance at Nameless Festival. With the end of that phase came the video of Shirt and Zanottisingle from the album #FREEDAG released in 2025, which includes collaborations with twentyone21, IDRA Rxx, Seven And Smokey Cold Heart Kid.
Songs like Uber, Jimmy Choo, Mafia And Chanel bags in Town Freestyle have defined his artistic universe, while the recent live a Testaccio Summer with the band he marked his first headlining effort in his city. The numbers accompany the journey: Shirt and Zanotti has exceeded one and a half million streams on Spotify, where the artist has over 150,000 monthly listeners.
